# Integrations

WIZE works best when it's connected to the tools your organization already uses. With integrations connected, WIZE can pull real donor records into a draft, prepare an email in your inbox, check your calendar, or update your project board — instead of working from placeholders you have to fill in later.

## Connecting an integration

Open **Integrations** from the left sidebar to see what's available and what's already connected. Click an integration to connect it — most use a standard sign-in with the other service; some CRMs ask for an API key (the connect screen walks you through where to find it).

Two kinds of connections:

- **Personal** — connects *your* account (email and calendar). Each teammate connects their own, and WIZE only touches your inbox or calendar when you ask it to.
- **Organization** — connects once for the whole team (CRM, project management, email marketing). Anyone in your Organization can then use it in chat.

> **Setting up with your IT or CRM team?** For the technical details of each integration — authentication, OAuth scopes, exactly what data WIZE reads, whether access is read-only, and what your administrator needs to do — see [Integration Setup & Security](/help/integration-setup/).

## Email & calendar

Connect **Google Workspace** (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) or **Microsoft Outlook** (email, calendar, OneDrive).

What WIZE can do once connected:

- **Search and read your email** — e.g. "find my last exchange with the Hendersons" — and use it as context for follow-ups.
- **Create email drafts.** WIZE writes the email and shows it as a **review card right in the chat** — read it, then click **Approve** to place it as a draft in your inbox (or **Discard** to drop it). If that review step isn't helping, turn it off: click **Don't ask again** on any card, switch off **Review email drafts before they're created** under Settings → Profile → Assistant behavior, or just tell WIZE in chat ("stop asking me to approve drafts") and it will change the setting for you. With review off, WIZE puts each email straight into your drafts. Either way, sending happens from your inbox — WIZE never sends email on its own, so a draft doesn't reach anyone until you send it.
- **Read your calendar and create events** — "what's on my calendar Thursday?", "set up a call with Maria next week".
- **Find and read files** in your Drive or OneDrive.

## CRM

Connecting your CRM imports constituent records, giving history, and account data into your WIZE workspace, so chats can reference real donors — who gave, when, how much, and who's lapsed.

CRM data flows **into** WIZE, with one exception: on **Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT**, WIZE can log an action or add a note on a constituent when you ask it to in chat — after showing you the exact values and getting your confirmation. Nothing is ever updated or deleted. See [Integration Setup & Security](/help/integration-setup/#blackbaud-raisers-edge-nxt).

Supported CRMs:

- Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
- Salesforce
- Bloomerang
- DonorPerfect
- DonorDock
- Little Green Light
- Virtuous
- Salsa Engage
- Zeffy
- Givebutter
- GiveCampus
- Give Lively
- DonorDrive
- Funraise
- EngageBay
- Cvent
- Donorbox
- HubSpot

- Tessitura

Once connected, ask things like "who are our top 20 donors this year?", "which donors gave last year but not this year?", or "draft renewal emails for everyone whose membership lapses this month" — and WIZE answers from your actual data. Query results open as spreadsheets you can review and reuse.

The import runs automatically after you connect and re-syncs daily to stay current.

### Using a tool WIZE doesn't connect to

**Integrations** in the left sidebar is the authoritative list — it is generated from what WIZE actually ships, so it is current even when this page is a release behind. Check there first if you don't see your tool above. If it isn't there either, four things still work:

- **Ask WIZE to request it.** Say "can you ask your team to add Pointapp?" (or whatever it is) in chat and WIZE files the request with us directly — you don't need to email anyone or fill in a form.
- **Export and upload.** Almost every donor, volunteer, or event platform exports a CSV or Excel file. Upload it and WIZE can query it like any other spreadsheet — see [Spreadsheets](/help/spreadsheets/).
- **Go through your CRM.** Many specialist tools (volunteer management, event ticketing, peer-to-peer fundraising) can push their data into a donor CRM. If they can push into one of the CRMs above, WIZE picks it up on the next sync with no extra setup.
- **Go through Airtable.** If the data already lives in an Airtable base — or the tool can export into one — connect **Airtable** (below) and WIZE keeps a live copy you can query in chat.

## Airtable

Plenty of teams keep a list in **Airtable** rather than in a CRM — a prospect tracker, an event guest list, a board roster, a grants pipeline. Connect Airtable and WIZE keeps a live copy of the table you choose, as a spreadsheet in your workspace, so you can ask about it in chat without exporting anything.

This is an **Organization** connection: one person connects it once for the whole team.

**Connecting it.** Open **Integrations** from the left sidebar, click **Airtable**, and sign in — Airtable asks which bases to share, and you approve. Back in WIZE, pick a **base** and a **table**, then click **Sync this table**. WIZE creates a spreadsheet with that table's contents and starts filling it right away. Repeat for as many tables as you want; each one becomes its own spreadsheet.

**What you can do with it.** The synced table behaves like any other WIZE spreadsheet: ask questions about it in chat, pull it into a draft, or open it and read it — see [Spreadsheets](/help/spreadsheets/). Because the spreadsheet keeps the same link every time it refreshes, anything you attach it to keeps working.

**Good to know:**

- **It refreshes every night.** New rows appear, edited rows update, and rows you deleted in Airtable are removed from the WIZE copy — so the two stay in step without anyone re-exporting.
- **The copy is read-only, and WIZE says so.** Editing a synced spreadsheet in WIZE is blocked rather than silently thrown away on the next refresh; make the change in Airtable and it arrives overnight. Airtable itself stays the source of truth — WIZE only reads.
- **Rich columns come through as text.** Attachments, linked records, and other structured Airtable field types are flattened into readable text, so a column that holds a file in Airtable reads as its description here.
- You can disconnect Airtable anytime from the same **Integrations** screen.

## Accounting

Keep your books in **QuickBooks Online**? Connect it and WIZE can answer questions about them in chat — how much you deposited in a period, what sits in a particular fund or class, and whether the gifts you have recorded match what actually hit the bank.

This is an **Organization** connection: one person connects it once for the whole team.

**Connecting it.** Open **Integrations** from the left sidebar, click **QuickBooks Online**, sign in to Intuit, and choose the company you want to connect.

**What you can ask:**

- *"How much did we deposit in July?"*
- *"What's in the Annual Fund class?"*
- *"Do our recorded gifts match what hit the books last month?"* — WIZE lines your gifts up against QuickBooks deposits over a date range and tells you what it could not match on either side.

**Good to know:**

- **WIZE only reads. It never writes to QuickBooks** — no transactions, no journal entries, no edits of any kind. Intuit only offers one accounting permission and it covers both reading and writing, so its consent screen mentions write access; WIZE does not use it.
- **Nothing is imported or copied.** Your books are read live, only while answering a question you asked.
- **Your whole history is available,** not just activity since you connected — ask about a past year and WIZE reads that year.
- **Deposits are not the same as donation revenue.** Grants, program income, transfers, and refunds land in your deposit total too, so it will usually be larger than your gift total. WIZE says so rather than presenting the gap as a problem.
- **Reconciliation matches exact amounts** within a few days either side, so gifts recorded gross against books kept net of processor fees will not match — that difference is real, and WIZE surfaces it rather than smoothing it over.
- You can disconnect QuickBooks anytime from the same **Integrations** screen.

See [Integration setup](/help/integration-setup/) for the technical details.

## Project management

Lots of teams already track their work in **Asana** or **Monday.com**. Connect one and WIZE can work with your boards right from chat — so you can check on a task, jot one down, or tick one off without leaving the conversation or switching tabs. (WIZE also has its own built-in [Tasks](/help/tasks/) that need no setup — the integrations below are for teams whose tracking already lives in Asana or Monday.com.)

This is an **Organization** connection: one person connects it once, and everyone on the team can use it in chat.

### Asana

**Connecting it.** Open **Integrations** from the left sidebar, click **Asana**, and sign in with your Asana account. Asana asks you to approve access — that's it, no API keys or codes to copy. WIZE connects to one Asana workspace (the one you approve).

**What you can ask WIZE to do.** Once Asana is connected, just talk to WIZE in plain English — it figures out the rest:

- **Find tasks** — *"Search Asana for anything about the spring gala."* WIZE looks across your workspace (or inside one project, if you name it) and lists what it finds, including who each task is assigned to, its due date, and whether it's done.
- **See your projects** — *"What projects do we have in Asana?"*
- **Add a task** — *"Add a task in Asana to the Fundraising project: draft the donor thank-you letter, due December 31, and assign it to Jane."* WIZE creates it in Asana with the due date, notes, and assignee you mentioned.
- **Update a task** — *"Mark the gala budget task as done,"* or *"push the thank-you letter to next Friday and reassign it to me."* WIZE finds the task and changes only what you asked.

You can refer to teammates by name (e.g. "assign it to Jane") and WIZE matches them to the right person in your Asana workspace.

**Good to know:**

- WIZE only touches Asana when you ask it to — there's no constant background syncing. It reads or updates your tasks in the moment, then leaves Asana alone.
- It works both ways *within chat*: WIZE can read what's already in Asana and make the changes you ask for. Changes you make directly in Asana aren't copied back into WIZE — Asana stays the home for your boards.
- It works on any Asana plan. (Workspace-wide search is fastest on paid Asana plans; on free plans WIZE simply finds tasks by looking through your projects instead.)
- You can disconnect Asana anytime from the same **Integrations** screen.

### Monday.com

Monday.com works the same way as Asana: connect it from **Integrations**, then ask WIZE to search, create, and update items on your boards from chat.

## Slack

Connect **Slack** and WIZE can work with your team's channels from chat — so a message WIZE just wrote for you goes straight where it needs to go, instead of being copied across by hand.

This is an **Organization** connection: one person connects it once, and everyone on the team can use it in chat.

**Is it available to you yet?** Slack is the newest integration and is still being switched on. Open **Integrations** and look at the Slack card: if it says **"Setup in progress"** with the Connect button greyed out, the WIZE team hasn't finished setting it up and there is nothing for you to do yet — it will turn itself on. If you see a live **Connect** button, everything below applies.

**Connecting it.** Open **Integrations** from the left sidebar, click **Slack**, and approve the WIZE app for your workspace. Many workspaces require a Slack admin to approve new apps — if yours does, Slack sends them a request and the card here keeps saying "Not connected" until they approve it.

**Then invite WIZE to the channels you want it to use.** This is the important step: WIZE can only see and post in channels it has been invited to. In Slack, open a channel and type `/invite @WIZE`. Channels you don't invite it to stay completely private from WIZE.

**What you can ask WIZE to do:**

- **See what it can reach** — *"What Slack channels can you see?"* WIZE lists them and tells you which ones it has been invited to.
- **Catch up on a channel** — *"What's been said in #development today?"* WIZE reads the recent messages and tells you who said what.
- **Post a message** — *"Post that update to #development."* WIZE writes it and posts it under the WIZE app.

**Good to know:**

- **A posted message can't be taken back by WIZE.** It appears in the channel immediately, and WIZE cannot delete or edit it afterwards — so it will confirm which channel it is posting to if there is any doubt. You can always delete the message in Slack yourself.
- WIZE posts as the **WIZE app**, not as you.
- It only touches Slack when you ask — there is no background reading or syncing.
- WIZE can't search across Slack, and it can't send direct messages. Channels only.
- You can disconnect Slack anytime from the same **Integrations** screen. Disconnecting also removes the WIZE app's access to your workspace.

## Email marketing

Connect **Mailchimp**, **Constant Contact**, or both, and WIZE can create campaign drafts from chat. Ask for a draft and say which audience it's for — Mailchimp calls these audiences, Constant Contact calls them lists — and WIZE writes it into your account. Drafts only — reviewing and sending always happen in the email tool itself, never in WIZE.

Connect **Constant Contact** and WIZE can do the same there: it reads your contact lists so you can say which audience a campaign is for, and drafts the campaign against it. Drafts only — nothing is scheduled or sent from WIZE, and the sender address has to be one Constant Contact has already confirmed on your account.

Connect **Emma** (Marigold) and WIZE can list your groups and push contacts into one, so an audience you have built from your CRM data is ready to mail. Emma is audience management only: its API has no create-a-mailing call at all, so WIZE cannot draft or send an Emma campaign — you write the email in Emma itself.

## Design

Connect **Canva** and WIZE can reach the designs in your Canva account, so a piece of collateral you have already made can be used as the basis for what it writes rather than described from memory. It reads your designs; it does not edit them.

## Prospect research

Connect **Connect The Dots** and you can ask WIZE the question that usually takes an afternoon of asking around: *"who do we know who can introduce us to this foundation?"* It searches the network your team has connected to Connect The Dots and tells you who can make the introduction and how strong that relationship is. You can also ask who you already know at an organization, and who in your network has recently changed jobs — useful timing for cultivation.

Each person connects their own Connect The Dots account, because the network is personal. It needs a paid Connect The Dots plan (Professional or higher) — their free tier does not offer the connection WIZE uses.

WIZE only reads. It will never send an introduction request on your behalf.

## Texting (SMS)

Connect **Tatango** (now part of momoGood) and WIZE can see your text-message lists and how your past texts performed, so it can draft SMS appeals grounded in what actually worked for your donors.

This one is **read-only**: WIZE cannot send, schedule, or save a text message, because Tatango's API gives outside tools no way to do so. WIZE writes the copy in your chat and you paste it into Tatango and send it there. Your subscribers, opt-ins, and keywords are never touched.

## WIZE Skills

**WIZE Skills** (also in the left sidebar) are built-in capabilities you can switch on — no external account needed. **Grants Research** adds grant-seeking tools to chat: search federal grant opportunities, look up foundation financials from public IRS 990 filings, and research funders' giving history.

## Privacy

Connected data stays inside your Organization's workspace. It is not used to train any AI model, and WIZE only reaches into a connected tool to do what you asked. Anything outbound — an email, a campaign — is created as a draft for a human to review and send. You can disconnect any integration at any time from the same place you connected it.
