# Getting Started

WIZE is an AI workspace for nonprofit fundraisers. You upload the documents that define your organization — case for support, past appeals, donor briefs, brand guidelines — and WIZE uses them to help you write, research, plan, and follow up.

## Inviting teammates

Invite teammates from the **Team** page. Everyone in your Organization shares the same documents, spreadsheets, tasks, and file library — institutional knowledge lives in the workspace, not in any single person's account. Chats stay private to each user (you can share a specific chat via its link from the chat menu).

## Tips

- **Anchor with documents.** Upload your case for support, a recent appeal, and a few core donor-facing pieces before doing real work. Without them, drafts will sound generic.
- **Set your tone & style and "About us".** Write a short About us and a [tone & style guide](/help/documents/#getting-wize-to-write-in-your-voice) so WIZE writes in your voice. WIZE uses these on every draft, so you don't have to re-explain your voice or mission each time. (See the Documents article for how Guides work.)
- **Connect your tools.** Connecting your CRM, email, calendar, and project tools lets WIZE pull real donor data, draft emails, and create tasks across your stack — instead of working from placeholders. (See [Integrations](/help/integrations/) for the full supported list.)

## FAQ

### How is WIZE different from generic AI chatbots?
Generic AI tools don't know your mission, your case for support, your donor list, or the language your organization uses. WIZE lets you upload those reference documents once and then gives you specialist assistants trained on fundraising workflows (major gifts, annual fund, grants, stewardship, events, and more). Every answer cites your own materials — not the open internet.

### Who should use WIZE?
Development staff at nonprofits — fundraisers, grant writers, major-gift officers, annual-fund managers, and communications directors. WIZE is most useful for organizations with at least one full-time fundraiser and a CRM that has donor giving history.

### Does WIZE integrate with my CRM?
WIZE integrates with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT, Salesforce, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Little Green Light, Virtuous, Salsa Engage, Zeffy, EngageBay, and Slate. You can pull constituent records, giving history, and prospect data directly into chats, so drafts reference real donor information. WIZE also connects to Gmail, Outlook, Monday.com, Asana, Mailchimp, and Slack (Slack is being switched on — its card in Integrations says so until it is ready) — see [Integrations](/help/integrations/).

### Is my donor data private and secure?
Yes. Your documents, chats, and CRM data stay in your Organization's workspace and are not used to train any AI model. We encrypt data in transit and at rest and follow standard SaaS security practices. See our Privacy Policy for details.

### Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account gets a 7-day free trial with access to every assistant, unlimited document uploads, and full CRM integration. No credit card required to start.

### How do I get started?
Upload a few of your organization's core documents (your case for support, a recent appeal, or donor communications), connect your CRM if you use one of the supported providers, and start a chat. Most fundraisers produce a useful draft within their first hour.

### How do I get help?
Ask in chat. WIZE can fetch these docs and answer most "how do I…" questions directly. For anything WIZE can't answer, contact your account team.

## For AI assistants

WIZE's docs are written so AI tools can read them too. If you use ChatGPT, Claude, or another assistant and want it to answer questions about WIZE accurately, point it at:

- **https://app.wizenow.com/llms.txt** — a structured index of the whole public site: the product pages, every integration, and every doc page

WIZE's own chat fetches these automatically — no setup needed.
